Cryptocurrency market grows 159%

Due to the uncertainty generated by the trade war between the United States and China, Brexit and other factors, digital assets are gaining more and more popularity

The capitalization of the cryptocurrency market in the world was 325,000 million dollars, a figure that is estimated at 159%.

This is due to different factors, such as the trade war between China and the United States, Brexit and the emergence in the cryptocurrency market of Facebook, Libra.

A report prepared by the Financial Digitization Observatory (ODF) of Funcas and Finnovating ensures that the increase in the capitalization of the crypto market attacked the downtrend that had been presenting lately.

The document shows that 85% of this market is covered by the ten main cryptocurrencies, which in all cases have increased their capitalization in the last six months, to which contributed – among other factors – the expectation generated by Facebook’s Libra.

Bitcoin is the most representative of the market, with a reach of 59%, thus having 7% more compared to last year’s statistics. Meanwhile, of the ten most relevant cryptocurrencies, Binance Coin was the most upturned in this period, with a progression of 468%, and ripple was the one with the lowest evolution, with an increase of 17%.
