Colombia will allow trading with Buda cryptocurrency stock exchange

The digital currency exchange house Buda will resume operations with Colombian pesos in the coming weeks

The platform will receive the authorization from the Colombian government, according to a company director. This has not been confirmed by government representatives. But citizens will count again with Buda as an option to exchange cryptocurrencies for the legal coin in the country.

Alejandro Beltrán, regional manager of the operator, said that the talks with the government have extended for several months; completing a sensitization process with both private companies and the public sector. “We worked for more than 8 months socializing and raising awareness. Connecting with public and private entities”, he added.

It is worth remembering that Buda has gone through a series of difficulties in the country, especially associated with banking services. In June 2017, the bank Davivienda closed its bank account without prior notice and from then on a conflict began to worsen, leading them to close operations in Colombia in August 2018.

Buda launched operations again in Colombia because it is a very important place in the Latin American ecosystem. In the same way, the volume of operations in the nation is high and the high demand positions Colombia as a significant market for the region.

Beltrán did not offer more information on the commissions and limits of the operations that may be carried out with pesos in the platform. “We will provide details on the forms of negotiation and transactional integrations next week.”
