Coinbase customers can save their passwords in the cloud

The cryptocurrency exchange announced that its Coinbase Wallet will allow users to back up their keys and store them on platforms such as Google Drive or iCloud

The company says that allowing users to save their passwords in a cloud provides them with greater protection against their loss. This will reduce the risk of loss of funds in case the keys are not found.

They also said that in addition to Google Drive on Android devices and iCloud on iOS devices, they also plan to expand their support to other storage clouds in the future.

However, innovation entails a great responsibility, since private keys are the only way for users to access their funds in the blockchain.

Therefore, users of Coinbase Wallet who lose their devices or do not back up their recovery phrase in a secure place, should keep in mind that they will lose their assets forever.

It is appropriate to emphasize, that the backup in the cloud is only optional and in case of choosing it, the user must proceed to activate it.
