China applies increases in tariffs for US goods

The government of the Asian country responded quickly to what was announced by President Donald Trump last week

China announced the increase of tariffs in the importation of goods from the United States, a route that generates movements of 60,000 million dollars annually.

This measure is a response to the reprisals of the US President, Donald Trump, regarding the trade war with China.

Thus, as of June 1st, the rates applied will be 10%, 20% and even up to 25% on various US products, as detailed by the Office of the China Tariff Commission.

The new negotiations with the aim of ending the bilateral trade war, and presented as the last opportunity, ended last week in Washington without an agreement between the two powers.

Last week, Trump had approved a jump from 10 to 25% import tariffs on tariffs on imports of Chinese products that represent an amount of 200,000 million dollars per year.
