Bitmain installs the world’s largest bitcoin mining laboratory

The Chinese manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining hardware emphasized its commitment to boost local economy in Rockdale, Texas

Rockdale, in Texas, already has one of the largest bitcoin mining facilities in the world, as announced by the hardware manufacturer specializing in this issue, Bitmain. Through a press release published this October 21, it revealed that the project had been completed together with the Rockdale Municipal Development District and the Canadian technology company DMG Blockchain Solutions.

In the press release, the manufacturer also highlights its unconditional attachment to strengthening the local Rockdale economy.

They said that the facility, currently being developed, has a capacity of 25MW. An installation of 50MW that remains under construction, is located on 33,000 acres and could expand to a capacity of more than 300MW in the future.

Global expansion plans

Bitmain has ratified its commitment in the search for local Rockdale suppliers to support ongoing constructions, and said it will buy power directly from the Rockdale power grid operator, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.

In order to expand its knowledge, Bitmain also plans to launch a training and training program on blockchain technology and mining data center operations, along with the Rockdale school district.
