Binance launches charity program for African schools

The world's largest exchange will provide two meals a day during 2019 to at least 200 children in Uganda

One of the most important exchange in the world, Binance, has always proven to be a group committed not only to its customers, but also to those who most need help.

Recently they launched a pilot program of school lunches, based on blockchain technology, which are destined for African schools.

All this will come thanks to its foundation, Binance Charity Foundation (BCF), which under the theme of “Lunch for children” will provide at least two meals per day during 2019 to 200 students from Kampala, Uganda.

The distribution of donations began officially in a ceremony in which more than 500 people participated. Among some notable names, we can mention Zcoin, a blockchain firm focused on privacy and a partner of the BCF initiative and the NGO Dream Building Service, whose headquarters are located in Kenya.

This was also possible thanks to the donations made by the Zcoin team and the main investors of the exchange, who raised about $ 24,000 in cryptocurrencies.

According to the statement, this pilot program in Uganda is just one part of a major exchange campaign to benefit one million students in schools in other countries, including Rwanda, Kenya and Ethiopia.
