Argentina will launch first 100% digital bank
The Transatlántica group presented its fully digital banking platform that will start operations in March
The Argentine group Transatlántica announced the start-up of a 100% digital bank by the end of next March. Rebanking, as it was named, comes to offer the population a friendly platform. With this launch, the consolidation of the digital banking industry advances in Latin America.
The consortium is committed to digital banking after an investment of 15 million dollars for the image change and the launch of Rebanking. Clients will have facilities for “currency purchases, transfers and payment of services, opening an account without costs of opening or maintenance, credit and debit cards, credits and fixed terms”.
According to Stefano Angeli, CEO of the entity, they expect to reach a portfolio of 65,000 clients by the end of 2019. After the launch they will gradually incorporate new products. It was learned that through the Banelco network, customers will be granted American Express and MasterCard cards.
The CEO of Rebanking indicated that the bank works on the payment option with QR. In addition, users of the platform can choose the channel of their choice to communicate with the bank between WhatsApp, chat channel, email or phone.
“With Rebanking we want to reinvent the industry together with the other players in the market, seeking to offer a different service focused on the customer, more efficient and with an arrival throughout the country. In addition, we accompany the objectives of the Central Bank to expand the bankization of Argentines through the use of technology and the reduction of cash in transactions“, said Angeli.
